Brutal Resonance
music and sound design

Trailer for a game environment I designed using Unity 3D and FMOD audio middleware. Brutal Resonance is a world of dark streets, towering concrete and wind swept open ground. Something happened here. The worst cannot be seen. Best viewed with the lights down and sound up!Standalone application can be downloaded here

Meanwhile in Rio
sound design

A sound design to accompany an animation by George Wheeler. George's animation was originally created to accompany the song 'Meanwhile in Rio' by Jacob Perlmutter and did not contain any sound design elements. So George contacted me asking if I could create a sound piece with an abstract and experimental edge.

Psychopraxia 01
sound design

This is the first in a series of abstract fixed media soundscapes I created as an exercise in sound design. The visual design was made using Unity3D.

(un)Melt
sound design

An MSc project consisting of a 4-piece band performing live to a video of liquid crystal formations. The band performed with MaxMSP patches we had created. My patch was based on FM synthesis and mainly covered the low to mid frequency range of the composition.

The Magic Seeds
sound re-design

My sound re-design for an animation created by Seed Animation studio. A quirky and whimsical piece. The original sound can be heard here - http://www.seedanimation.com/video-magic-seeds-yuki-nishimura-animation

Honda Civic - Feeling
music and sound re-design

My music and sound re-design for the Honda Civic advertisement. I did not attempt to re-record the voice over. The original sound can be heard here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEaWUeYR7I4

Hands in the Fire
sound design

My sound design for the experimental documentary Hands In The Fire directed by the very talented Mariella Pacey. A nomad searches for the meaning of home amid a Scottish community bound by a love of fire.

Sound Files
Two sound pieces taken from my MSc in Sound Design. The first is a sonic interpretation of the climactic scene to David Lynch's Eraserhead (1976), the second is a short abstract soundscape.
Laser Gun
FM synth drone
